Terror Attack in Bannu Injures Soldier as Security Forces Eliminate Terrorists in Tirah Operation

A terrorist quadcopter attack in the Sardi Khel area of Bannu left one soldier injured on Sunday, as security forces later eliminated terrorists during an operation in Tirah Valley.

According to security sources, militants used a quadcopter to target security personnel in Sardi Khel, injuring one soldier who was shifted to a medical facility for treatment. Officials described the attack as a desperate tactic increasingly used by terrorist groups under pressure from ongoing counterterrorism operations.

Later in the day, suspicious movement of terrorists was detected in the Akakhel area of Tirah Valley, prompting swift action by security forces. Troops engaged the terrorists in an exchange of fire, resulting in the elimination of two militants, while others were reported injured.

A search operation was subsequently launched in the area to pursue fleeing elements and clear any remaining terrorist presence. Security officials said the timely response thwarted potential sabotage plans.

Authorities noted that the contrast between the two incidents highlights the weakening position of terrorist groups, who are increasingly resorting to remote and unconventional attacks even as security forces continue to dismantle their networks on the ground.

Security forces reiterated their resolve to continue operations across affected regions, emphasizing that such attacks will not deter ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism from the country.
