Pakistan’s security forces continue their operations against Afghan Taliban elements and militants associated with Fitna al-Khwarij along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, security sources said.
According to the sources, Pakistan Army troops targeted the Badani post of Afghan Taliban near the adjoining border area in Chitral, destroying the position during an operation.
Officials said the Badani post was struck with a combination of light and heavy weapons. The attack also involved the use of quadcopters to effectively engage and dismantle the post.
Security sources added that the position was completely destroyed during the operation, dealing a significant blow to militant elements operating along the frontier.
They said Afghan Taliban elements and militants linked to Fitna al-Khwarij have been facing strong setbacks on multiple fronts following what officials described as unprovoked aggression.
Sources reiterated that Operation Ghazab Lil Haqq will continue until its strategic objectives are achieved.
