Security forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in the Sheikh Khola area of Lakki Marwat, killing three militants linked to terrorist activities, security sources said.
The operation was conducted on the basis of actionable intelligence regarding the presence of militants belonging to Fitna al-Khwarij, a term used by Pakistan for elements associated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
According to sources, three militants identified as Nauman, Zakir, and Waris alias Power were killed during the operation. The individuals were allegedly involved in spreading fear and intimidation in the area and had been linked to various militant activities.
Officials said one of the slain militants had been using the social media platform TikTok to issue threats and portray himself as a powerful figure in an apparent attempt to intimidate local residents.
Security sources said the timely operation prevented further militant activity in the area and reaffirmed that operations would continue until peace and stability are fully restored in the region.
