The Pakistan Armed Forces have continued intensive and coordinated operations against the Afghan Taliban and Fitna-al-Khawarij along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, achieving significant operational results.
According to security sources, during the night of 4–5 March 2026, the Armed Forces targeted 41 Khawarij posts using a combination of light and heavy weaponry, including artillery, mortars, and direct-fire systems. The strikes were carried out in multiple sectors along the border, including Chaman, Zhob, Qila Saifullah, and Naushki, as well as adjoining border regions.
Officials described the operations as precisely planned and strategically executed, aimed at dismantling Khawarij infrastructure, disrupting cross-border facilitation networks, and inflicting maximum operational impact on extremist elements. Preliminary reports indicate that the engagements caused significant casualties and material losses to Taliban and Fitna-al-Khawarij elements.
The Armed Forces emphasized that these operations are part of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq and will continue until all planned objectives are fully achieved, targeting identified Khawarij posts and infrastructure along the border.
Security sources confirmed that operations involved combined arms tactics, including aerial reconnaissance, coordinated fire from ground units, and precision targeting, reflecting a comprehensive approach to border security and counter-terrorism.
