Authorities have released an operational update regarding Operation Ghazb lil Haq, providing details on recent developments and reported losses sustained by the Taliban across multiple locations in Afghanistan. According to the latest operational summary issued at 1600 hours on 4 March, military actions carried out under the ongoing operation have resulted in significant reported casualties and material losses among Taliban forces. Officials involved in the operation stated that the figures reflect the cumulative impact of coordinated engagements conducted across various regions of the country.
Preliminary assessments indicate that 481 Taliban fighters have been killed, while more than 696 others have sustained injuries during the course of the operation. The figures are based on battlefield reports and damage assessments compiled from multiple operational sectors.
In addition to personnel losses, the operation has also reportedly targeted the militant group’s logistical and defensive infrastructure. Authorities stated that 226 Taliban check posts have been destroyed, while 35 additional posts have been captured by forces involved in the operation. These actions are believed to have disrupted the group’s ability to maintain control over key routes and operational corridors.
Military sources further reported that substantial damage has been inflicted on Taliban military assets. A total of 198 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns have reportedly been destroyed during the course of the operation. The destruction of these assets is expected to significantly degrade the group’s operational capabilities and limit its ability to conduct coordinated attacks.
As part of the operation, air strikes were conducted on 56 separate locations across Afghanistan, targeting sites believed to be associated with Taliban operations and logistical support networks. Officials described the strikes as “precise and strategically coordinated,” aimed at weakening militant strongholds and preventing further mobilization.
Authorities emphasized that the situation on the ground remains dynamic, and operational assessments are continuing as security forces consolidate their positions and evaluate the full impact of recent engagements. Further verification of the reported figures is also expected as additional information becomes available.
Officials have not yet released detailed information regarding the specific provinces affected by the strikes or the broader operational timeline of Operation Ghazb lil Haq. However, security analysts note that the scale of reported engagements suggests a large and coordinated campaign targeting multiple Taliban positions simultaneously.
