TTP Attackers Behind Police and Customs Post Strike Killed in Dera Ismail Khan

Pakistan’s security forces successfully conducted a targeted operation in Takwara, Dera Ismail Khan district, against perpetrators involved in a recent attack on a police and customs post. The operation resulted in the elimination of three terrorists affiliated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and left four others injured. One body has been recovered so far, while further search and clearance operations continue to secure the area.

According to official sources, the operation was intelligence-driven and aimed at dismantling the network responsible for coordinated attacks targeting law enforcement personnel and state installations. Security agencies moved swiftly following reports of militant activity in the Takwara area.

The extremist group reportedly released a 90-second video via channels affiliated with the TTP, depicting the attack. The video shows a kidnapped customs official, vehicles being set ablaze, and cash being forcibly taken from the targeted building. Authorities confirm that the swift response by security forces prevented further casualties and minimized potential damage to nearby civilian areas.

This operation underscores Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to combating terrorism and extremist networks that continue to pose a threat to law enforcement, public institutions, and civilians. Intelligence-led and coordinated actions remain central to the country’s strategy to identify, disrupt, and eliminate terrorist elements before they can carry out attacks.

Authorities have reiterated that all remaining suspects in the area will be pursued, and clearance operations will continue to ensure the complete security of the district. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local authorities.

Pakistan remains committed to protecting its citizens, upholding law and order, and ensuring that terrorist networks are dismantled to prevent future attacks.
