CTD Operation in Quetta Neutralizes Eight Terrorists, Recovers Arms and Ammunition

In a decisive counterterrorism operation conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Quetta, eight terrorists were killed following an intense exchange of gunfire. The operation took place in the Darakhshan area of the city, where the militants had reportedly taken position.

According to a CTD spokesperson, the terrorists opened fire on security forces, prompting a swift and coordinated response. During the confrontation, three CTD personnel sustained injuries and are receiving immediate medical attention.

Authorities confirmed that a substantial cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the deceased terrorists. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects were affiliated with a proscribed extremist organization. Further inquiries are underway to ascertain the identities of the militants and their operational networks.

“The safety and security of our citizens remain our highest priority,” said the CTD spokesperson. “This operation demonstrates our commitment to countering terrorist threats decisively and preventing any attempt to destabilize peace in Balochistan.
