Security sources have confirmed that intelligence agencies had identified key facilitators and enablers of terrorist networks operating in Balochistan well before the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA)–affiliated Fitna Al-Hindustan (FAH) launched its so-called “Heroof 2.0” campaign. These early assessments were part of a broader intelligence-led strategy aimed at systematically uncovering and neutralizing the full spectrum of terrorist infrastructure in the region.
According to informed sources, while the attempted operation by the terrorist outfit ultimately failed in achieving its objectives, it inadvertently provided the state with an opportunity to obtain deeper, corroborated, and actionable evidence regarding the operational, financial, and logistical networks supporting terrorism. This intelligence breakthrough has significantly strengthened the security apparatus’s ability to identify not only active militants but also those operating behind the scenes.
Building on this verified intelligence, security forces have now initiated a comprehensive nationwide crackdown. The ongoing operations are not limited to armed terrorists alone; they extend decisively to their financiers, facilitators, abettors, and logistical supporters who enable acts of violence through funding, recruitment, propaganda, shelter, and coordination.
Security officials emphasize that this expanded scope reflects a clear strategic shift from reactive counterterrorism measures to a proactive and preventive approach. By targeting the entire ecosystem that sustains terrorism, the state aims to dismantle these networks permanently rather than allowing them to regenerate under new names or fronts.
“This crackdown is a critical and unavoidable step,” a senior security official stated. “Terrorism cannot be eliminated unless its financial pipelines, support structures, and facilitation networks are completely uprooted. There will be no distinction between those who carry out attacks and those who make them possible.”
The authorities have reiterated their resolve to pursue these operations within the framework of the law, ensuring that all actions are evidence-based and focused on long-term national security. The state remains committed to safeguarding public safety, protecting strategic interests, and restoring lasting peace, particularly in regions targeted by terrorist propaganda and violence.
Security agencies have also called on the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement institutions, stressing that national unity and collective resolve are essential in defeating terrorism in all its forms.
The ongoing crackdown sends a clear and unequivocal message: the state will not allow terrorist organizations or their support networks to operate with impunity, and every individual involved directly or indirectly will be held accountable.
