A significant development took place in Sui where Wadera Noor Ali Chakarani and more than 100 of his companions laid down their arms and joined the national mainstream under the peace focused leadership of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti.
The ceremony was chaired by the Chief Minister’s brother, Mir Aftab Ahmed Bugti, and attended by chiefs of the Bugti tribe, local elders, notables and a large number of youth who described the moment as historic.
Town Chairman Sui, Izzatullah Aman Bugti, welcomed the returnees and said the event reflected the Chief Minister’s long standing commitment to peace, stability and the collective progress of Balochistan.
In his closing remarks, Mir Aftab Ahmed Bugti urged those still in the mountains and influenced by external elements to return, join the national mainstream and contribute positively to the development, stability and peaceful future of Dera Bugti and Balochistan.
