The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Mardan region, in coordination with Nowshera police, successfully neutralised a key terrorist of the proscribed TTP.
According to a CTD spokesperson, actionable intelligence regarding the wanted militant prompted a joint operation, during which the terrorist, affiliated with the TTP’s “Intikhab Alam” group, was killed.
The slain terrorist has been identified as Hammad Zaheer, son of Zaheer Badshah, who was wanted in multiple serious terrorism cases, including the targeted killing of Constable Maqsood.
The spokesperson further stated that the area remains under strict surveillance to neutralise any potential threats in a timely manner.
