A daring armed attack on a police team conducting routine checks in the Sabzi Mandi area of Islamabad was successfully repelled on [insert date], resulting in the neutralisation of one terrorist and the arrest of two others, authorities confirmed.
According to Islamabad Police spokesperson, five armed men riding three motorcycles opened fire on the police team during a checkpoint operation. One police officer was injured in the attack. The deceased terrorist was reportedly a key figure in the assassination of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ali Akbar. Police recovered the official service pistol of the late ASI Ali Akbar from the suspect, further linking him to the high-profile incident.
