Armed Attack on Islamabad Police Team Thwarted; One Terrorist Killed, Two Arrested

A daring armed attack on a police team conducting routine checks in the Sabzi Mandi area of Islamabad was successfully repelled on [insert date], resulting in the neutralisation of one terrorist and the arrest of two others, authorities confirmed.

The deceased terrorist was reportedly a key figure in the assassination of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ali Akbar. Police recovered the official service pistol of the late ASI Ali Akbar from the suspect, further linking him to the high-profile incident.

The police team remained protected due to precautionary measures, including the use of bulletproof jackets, and no additional officers were injured. Authorities also recovered weapons and two motorcycles from the attackers. One of the motorcycles had earlier been stolen from the jurisdiction of Shams Colony Police Station.
