Field Marshal Hosts Tajik Defence Minister to Boost Bilateral Military Ties

Tajikistan’s Defence Minister, Lieutenant General Saburzoda Imam Ali Abdullah Rahim, visited Pakistan’s General Headquarters (GHQ) and met with Pakistan Army Chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in a move aimed at strengthening bilateral defence and regional security cooperation.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the discussions encompassed matters of mutual interest, regional stability, and avenues to expand defence collaboration. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and Tajikistan.

Key areas highlighted during the meeting included military training, counter-terrorism initiatives, and strategies to foster regional peace and stability. Both delegations reached a consensus on the importance of sustained joint efforts in these sectors.

Lieutenant General Saburzoda praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and underscored its vital role in promoting peace and security across the region. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized the significance of collective action for regional prosperity and reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to further deepen defence and security ties with Tajikistan.
