Rising Security Threats in Bannu: Authorities Issue Safety Guidelines for Government Staff

In light of increasing incidents of unrest and abductions in the Bannu region, authorities have issued special safety instructions for all government employees to ensure their personal and professional security. The statement emphasized that the current security situation demands heightened vigilance, and every government employee must prioritize their safety.

Employees have been advised not to display official identification while traveling, avoid discussing work-related matters during transit, and refrain from lingering unnecessarily at village shops, gatherings, or public spaces.

Officials further recommended avoiding unnecessary travel or public meetings, keeping personal movements during leave discreet, and refraining from going out at night. Employees are also advised to temporarily distance themselves from social gatherings with friends. Authorities stressed that doors should not be opened if knocked upon at night, and all official and personal data on mobile phones must be secured.

Employees have also been cautioned against traveling to areas suspected to host disruptive elements and to verify travel routes carefully in advance to avoid potential checkpoints or threats.
