20 Indian-Backed Militants Eliminated in Separate Operations Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Security forces killed twenty Indian-backed militants belonging to the group Fitna al-Khwarij in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 8 and 9 November, according to an official statement.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that, acting on credible intelligence, troops conducted an operation in the Shawal area of North Waziristan where eight militants were killed after a heavy exchange of fire.

In another operation in Dara Adam Khel, twelve more militants were neutralised following an intense gun battle.

Sensitisation of the surrounding areas is under way to eliminate any remaining militants. The military said the operations were part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign Azm-e-Istehkam, launched under the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, aimed at eradicating foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
