Terror Strikes Bannu Again as Militants Bomb Health Facility, Clash with Security Forces

A fresh wave of terrorism has gripped Bannu as armed militants targeted the Basic Health Unit (BHU) in Serai Baka Khel with an improvised explosive device (IED), causing extensive structural damage to the facility. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the attack.

According to police, the explosion was followed by a swift security response as law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched an extensive search operation to track down the perpetrators. Meanwhile, in Khudri Mamand Khel, intense exchange of fire is ongoing between security forces and terrorists who, according to reports, are using civilians as human shields. Security sources confirmed that the area has been surrounded, and the operation has been intensified to neutralize the militants.

Forces are employing quadcopters and surveillance drones to closely monitor the movement of terrorists and ensure precision in their operation. The twin incidents have created a wave of fear and tension among local residents. However, security officials have assured the public that the operation will continue until the complete elimination of terrorism from the region.
