Pakistan Army Kills Over 45 Afghan Taliban and Khawarij Militants in Repulsed Cross-Border Attacks at Spin Boldak and Kurram: ISPR

The Pakistan Army successfully repelled a series of coordinated cross-border attacks launched by Afghan Taliban and the group termed Fitna al-Khawarij, targeting Pakistani positions along the Spin Boldak area of Balochistan and the Kurram Sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the assault at four locations in Spin Boldak was effectively countered by Pakistani forces despite the attackers attempting to exploit divided border villages and endanger civilian populations. During the attack, the Afghan Taliban destroyed the Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate on their side of the border—an act which, ISPR said, reflected their disregard for mutual trade and the easement rights of the divided tribes.

In the ensuing clashes, between 15 and 20 Afghan Taliban fighters were killed and several others injured. The situation in the border region remains tense, with credible reports indicating further build-up at Taliban and Khawarij staging points.

ISPR further confirmed that the assault in Spin Boldak was part of a broader pattern of aggression. On the night between October 14 and 15, Afghan Taliban and Khawarij militants attempted to target Pakistani border posts in the Kurram Sector. The attack was decisively repulsed, resulting in the destruction of eight enemy posts and six tanks. Pakistani troops inflicted heavy losses, killing an estimated 25 to 30 attackers.

Rejecting Taliban propaganda that Pakistan initiated the hostilities, the ISPR termed such claims “outrageous and blatant lies,” stating that “the Taliban regime’s assertions of capturing Pakistani posts or equipment are easily disproved through basic fact-checks.”

The statement concluded that Pakistan’s Armed Forces remain resolute and fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. “All acts of aggression against Pakistan will be responded to with full force,” ISPR affirmed.
