In a decisive blow to Khawarij networks operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces eliminated Maulana Aleem-ul-Haq alias Commander Mansoor Janikhel, a notorious ringleader of the HGB Sadiqullah Gurbaz Group, during a precision operation in the Janikhel area of Bannu district.
According to security officials, Mansoor Janikhel was regarded as one of the most dangerous Khawarij commanders in the region. He had been directly commanding assaults against the Pakistan Army and recently attempted to block the strategically vital Tochi check-post near Bannu, a move widely condemned as an act of desperation by a crumbling network.
Acting on actionable intelligence, security forces launched a targeted counter-operation in Janikhel. During the engagement, Mansoor Janikhel sustained fatal injuries. In a failed bid to save their leader, his Khawarij accomplices tried to evacuate him from the battlefield, but he succumbed to his wounds on the spot.
Officials termed his elimination a significant breakthrough, declaring that his death had dismantled the operational chain of the Sadiqullah Gurbaz Group. “The Khawarij leadership is being systematically hunted down, and their attempts to regroup or regain strength will not be tolerated,” a security source remarked.
The operation underscores the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to protect the country’s sovereignty and restore peace in the tribal belt. Authorities reiterated that no refuge or breathing space will be allowed for Khawarij remnants, whose ideology and actions remain rejected by the people of Pakistan.
Observers believe the death of Mansoor Janikhel marks yet another turning point in the ongoing campaign to wipe out Khawarij commanders, a campaign that continues to erode the leadership structure of extremist groups hiding along the Afghan border.
