In a misguided attempt, the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) labeled an illuminating round found in Issori village, Mir Ali, North Waziristan, as evidence of a drone strike. However, the object in question is a non-explosive light-producing round frequently used as a low-intensity weapon by anti-state elements, not a high-explosive shell.
Unlike Pakistani military rockets, which fully detonate leaving no identifiable fragments, this illuminating round remains mostly intact. PTM’s claim is therefore false and intended to mislead the public.
PTM has a history of distorting facts to undermine state institutions and promote anti-national narratives. This latest propaganda stunt follows the same pattern of attempts to discredit the military and fuel hostile agendas.
