Son of Senior TTP Commander Killed in Bajaur Ambush

In a major escalation, militants from the banned TTP launched a deadly ambush on a Pakistani security convoy in Bajaur. The attack claimed several lives, with insurgents torching a military vehicle and looting a cache of weapons—including a rocket launcher, rifles, and a drone.

Pakistani forces responded with gunships and artillery to rescue trapped soldiers after the convoy was encircled.

Among the dead was Maulana Saifullah, the son of senior TTP Swat commander Ghazwan Swati—highlighting how the group continues to exploit even its own families in pursuit of violence. Rather than a symbol of sacrifice, his death underscores the TTP’s ruthless ideology that glorifies bloodshed and drags generations into a cycle of extremism. Analysts warn that the trend of militant leaders sacrificing their own sons reflects the dangerous depths of their radical ideology.
