678 Khawarij Killed in Six Months as Security Forces Sustain Anti-Terror Momentum in KP

In a decisive display of operational resolve, Pakistan’s security forces have eliminated 678 Khawarij and their collaborators in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during a series of intelligence-based operations conducted from January 1 to June 17, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s ongoing fight against violent extremism. The operations, described as precise and intelligence-led, targeted militant sanctuaries, logistical networks, and facilitators aligned with proscribed terrorist outfits.

The campaign builds on the momentum of 2024, when 861 Khawarij were neutralized across the province. The continued success is a result of strategic coordination, improved intelligence integration, and unyielding public support in eradicating enemies of peace and stability.

“These Khawarij enemies of religion, the constitution, and humanity stand rejected by the people of Pakistan,” an official stated. “Every single terrorist sent to hell is a message to their handlers: the state will never relent in its pursuit of peace.”

The operations span high-risk districts including North and South Waziristan, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, and parts of Bajaur and Khyber, where remnants of terror outfits attempted to reassert influence. Their efforts were swiftly crushed through proactive engagement and targeted strikes.

Officials emphasized that the operations were conducted with surgical precision, prioritizing civilian safety while achieving strategic outcomes. The use of advanced surveillance, community intelligence, and inter-agency coordination was cited as critical to the success.

Security institutions reiterated their commitment to maintaining a zero-tolerance policy towards militancy and reaffirmed that the war against the Khawarij is both military and ideological. The state remains resolute in its mission to dismantle the ideological, financial, and operational support structures of violent groups—wherever they exist.

The sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians remain central to this enduring campaign for peace, sovereignty, and national dignity.
