Following what security sources described as unprovoked cross-border aggression, the Pakistan Army conducted precision retaliatory strikes targeting militant infrastructure across multiple locations, including areas linked to militant networks in Nangarhar and the nearby frontier areas.

Security officials said the strikes were aimed at disrupting command and coordination facilities allegedly associated with hostile militant groups operating near the frontier.

Sources confirmed that key operational centers believed to be linked to militant activity were targeted in both Afghan urban and border-adjacent zones. The action was taken after reports of hostile cross-border activity.

Security authorities further stated that eight militant elements were eliminated in the Kurram sector during continued retaliatory engagements along the frontier regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Officials said that multiple militant positions across the border were destroyed as part of coordinated response operations, bringing the total number of reported militant casualties in the latest engagements to approximately 58.

Field intelligence assessments indicated that several hostile centers were abandoned by militant groups under operational pressure.

Separately, security sources confirmed the arrest of an individual identified as Abdullah while attempting to illegally cross the border. Preliminary interrogation reportedly yielded information related to cross-border militant movement.

Authorities reiterated that Pakistan’s defensive response was aimed at protecting its territorial integrity and civilian population.

Military units of Pakistan Army remain on high alert across frontier districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, continuously monitoring sensitive sectors for further developments.

Officials warned that any future aggression would be met with a calibrated but firm defensive response.
