Security forces have eliminated three more Khawarij belonging to the group Fitna-tul-Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob district, Balochistan, raising the total killed in the past four days to 50.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the latest operation was conducted during the night between August 10 and 11 along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Sambaza. The engagement resulted in the killing of three Khawarij, with weapons, ammunition, and explosives recovered from their possession.
The military’s media wing further stated that earlier, from August 7 to 9, security forces carried out a large-scale clearance operation in Sambaza, during which 47 Khawarij were neutralised. These actions form part of intensified efforts to secure the border region and prevent cross-border militant infiltration.
ISPR said the sustained counterterrorism operations underscore the Pakistan Army’s unwavering resolve to safeguard the nation’s defence. “The security forces remain determined to thwart every attempt to destabilise peace, stability, and development in Pakistan,” the statement added.
The military reiterated its commitment to ensuring that Khawarij, whether operating domestically or with external support, will find no safe haven on Pakistani soil.
