In a decisive move against terrorism, Pakistan’s security forces successfully neutralized 13 Khawarij during two coordinated operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officials confirmed. The operations were conducted in Bara, Khyber and Bannu, resulting in the elimination of key hostile elements and destruction of multiple terrorist hideouts.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation in Bara, Khyber, led to the killing of 10 Khawarij, while an intelligence-based operation in Bannu successfully eliminated 3 additional hostile elements. Both operations targeted Khawarij operating under foreign support networks, including those reportedly backed by India, as part of the ongoing nationwide counter-terrorism initiative.
The ISPR stated that these operations are part of the broader “Azm-e-Istihkam” (Resolve for Stability) campaign, aimed at eradicating terrorism across Pakistan. The successful missions highlight the continued vigilance, professional expertise, and operational readiness of the Pakistan Army and allied security agencies.
Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif lauded the security forces for their effective actions in Bara and Bannu. In his statement, the Prime Minister emphasized that the forces acted with exceptional professionalism to neutralize the Khawarij, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring national security.
“The security forces have, with skill and determination, eliminated Khawarij in Bara and Bannu. They stand as an unyielding shield for the nation against terrorism,” Prime Minister Sharif said. He further reiterated the government’s unwavering resolve to achieve the complete eradication of terrorism from Pakistan.
Authorities reaffirmed that intelligence-driven and targeted operations will continue nationwide to dismantle Khawarij networks and secure the country. The government urged citizens to remain vigilant and support security agencies in reporting any suspicious activities to ensure the safety and stability of the region.
