The Lakki Marwat Police have released their comprehensive performance report for 2025, highlighting significant achievements in counterterrorism, crime control, and law enforcement across the district, according to a police spokesperson.

Throughout the year, police, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), and other security forces jointly conducted 166 search-and-strike operations across Lakki Marwat. These operations led to the destruction of dozens of hideouts linked to Fitna al-Khawarij, dealing a major blow to militant networks operating in the area.

One of the most notable successes was the Thatti Khel operation, during which the notorious migrant camp used by Fitna al-Khawarij militants was completely demolished, removing a key logistical and operational base.

In counterterrorism actions during 2025, security forces neutralized 118 terrorists and arrested 53 others. In addition, eight facilitators were killed and 28 facilitators were taken into custody. Police also successfully foiled 16 planned terrorist attacks, including four high-risk quadcopter-based attacks, preventing potential large-scale damage and loss of life.

The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) played a critical role in maintaining public safety by safely defusing 17 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and recovering 372 kilograms of explosive material during the year.

On the crime control front, Lakki Marwat Police traced and solved 35 previously “blind” cases involving murder, robbery, and other serious offences. A total of 1,665 proclaimed offenders and absconders were arrested, reflecting intensified efforts to enforce the rule of law.

Police also made substantial progress in combating drug trafficking. During anti-narcotics operations, authorities seized 193 kilograms of hashish, 50 kilograms of ice (crystal meth), and 12 kilograms of heroin.

Crackdowns on illegal weapons resulted in the recovery of a large cache of arms, including 242 Kalashnikov rifles and 1,267 pistols. Additionally, police recovered eight non-custom-paid vehicles and confiscated smuggled goods worth millions of rupees.

The police spokesperson stated that these achievements reflect the professionalism, coordination, and dedication of Lakki Marwat Police and allied security agencies. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining these efforts to ensure lasting peace, security, and stability for the people of the district.
