In a major counter-terrorism sweep, Punjab’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 10 suspected Khawarij terrorists during operations across several cities, including Lahore, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Jhelum.
Among those apprehended are two high-profile militants—Badal Singh and Suraj Singh—from Nankana Sahib, captured in Rawalpindi. Authorities recovered explosive material, 16 detonators, safety fuses, and extremist literature from the suspects.
Declared enemies of the state, these arrests mark a significant blow to militant networks, as security forces continue tightening their crackdown on extremist elements.
