Pakistani authorities have dismissed what they describe as a coordinated disinformation campaign circulating on social media platforms, alleging heavy losses inflicted on Pakistani forces during ongoing border engagements.
Security sources said fabricated claims are being amplified on X, Facebook and other platforms through accounts allegedly linked to hostile intelligence networks, including India’s RAW and other foreign elements, alongside Afghan-based propaganda outlets.
Officials stated that the viral posts claiming significant Pakistani casualties are “entirely baseless” and aimed at distorting ground realities amid the ongoing Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq.
According to security sources, the operational situation remains firmly under control, with Pakistani forces maintaining dominance across multiple sectors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Officials emphasized that defensive and retaliatory actions have been conducted in a professional and calibrated manner.
Authorities said the spread of false narratives is part of a broader psychological warfare effort intended to undermine public morale and create confusion during active border operations.
“Ground realities are completely different from the fabricated claims being circulated online,” a senior security official said, adding that Pakistani forces continue to respond with professionalism, operational discipline and resolve.
Officials reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country’s territorial integrity and will not allow hostile propaganda to overshadow operational achievements.
The government urged citizens to rely on verified information from official sources and avoid sharing unverified content that may contribute to misinformation.
Security officials maintained that while disinformation campaigns may attempt to shape perception, facts on the ground reflect operational readiness and sustained defensive strength along the western frontier.
