Reports circulating on social media about an alleged attack on 15 Pakistan Army trucks near Kanchati Cross in Turbat, Balochistan, are completely false and unfounded.
There was no such ambush, and no casualties or damage were reported. The fabricated story appears to be a deliberate attempt to distort facts and manufacture a false narrative, primarily pushed by self-exiled BNM propagandist Jamal Baloch, known for giving a political cover to violent extremism from abroad.
In reality, as our published report confirms, a swift and successful security operation was conducted in the Dasht area of Turbat, in which two terrorists were eliminated, including BLF commander Ateeq Miran. The militants were attempting to set up an illegal checkpoint on the M-8 highway and were neutralized near Kanchati Cross.
No major attack took place. The fake news appears to be a desperate response to the setback suffered by militant elements, aimed at masking their losses and misleading the public.
