The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a suspected terrorist during an intelligence-based operation in the Samkot-Dabar Jungle area of Upper Dir district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to CTD sources, the operation was launched following a tip-off about the presence of a suspicious individual in the jurisdiction of Gandigar police station. The suspect, identified as Sadiqullah, hails from Afghanistan’s Kunar province.
He has been shifted to Ghandigar police station for further interrogation.
Security forces have been actively conducting search operations in both Upper and Lower Dir to dismantle extremist networks. Authorities confirmed that this arrest is part of the broader crackdown on militants operating in the region.
