Accounts linked to India’s notorious intelligence agency RAW have once again attempted a crude and shameful propaganda stunt against Pakistan. These accounts circulated a false claim that a Pakistani married couple was arrested while allegedly trying to enter India illegally.
The truth: The couple in question is actually British citizens: Samtra Shakeel, an Indian-origin NRI and UK citizen, and her husband Hasan Oman, also a UK citizen. The incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh in June 2017, and has been deliberately revived and falsely attributed to Pakistan as part of RAW’s ongoing anti-Pakistan propaganda campaign.
Earlier attempts by the same RAW-linked social media accounts show a clear pattern of fabricated narratives. On November 10, they falsely blamed Pakistan for a blast near Red Fort Metro Station in New Delhi, without any evidence. Then, on November 13, another false story presented Arifa Bibi as the wife of a supposed attacker, once again trying to link Pakistan to the incident.
The same NIC image has been used repeatedly in unrelated Indian social-media claims since at least August 2020. An archived post from that year used the exact same card; same name, number, photo, and dates—to allege that “Afeera Bibi, wife of Muhammad Umar (Farooq),” was linked to the Pulwama attack.
No credible Pakistani or international record corroborates the existence of any such individual connected to either Pulwama (2019) or the supposed Delhi blast (2025). The image circulating is a fabricated or digitally altered ID card that has been repurposed for disinformation.
In addition, on November 13, false claims circulated that Russian authorities had dismantled a secret Pakistani agency cell in Saint Petersburg, a completely fabricated narrative.
Earlier attempts by the same RAW-linked social media accounts also include, around November 7, a fake video attempting to portray an attack on a Pakistani security post by “Indian operatives.”
After repeated humiliating failures, India appears to be licking its wounds, trying to deceive its own citizens and the international community with childish propaganda. However, neither the Pakistani public nor the world is blind to India’s juvenile antics, and these failed attempts only expose the desperation and weakness behind such narratives.
